About AI Course Atlas: who runs it, how it stays independent

Who's behind AI Course Atlas

I'm Jake Boland, the editor of AI Course Atlas. I live in Dublin.

I spent almost 10 years at Google in People Operations and now work at an early-stage AI startup, where I use AI agents to run day-to-day operations across HR, compliance, legal and finance. It's changed how I work more than anything else in my career, and I'm most interested in how it's changing the way companies and teams work.

When friends and colleagues ask where to start learning, I've found there's no simple answer. There's plenty of good training, much of it free or funded depending on where you live in the UK, but it's spread across dozens of websites with different prices, dates and certificates. So I built this site to put it in one place.

Every course here is checked against the provider's own page. If you spot a mistake or a course I've missed, email me.

In Ireland? I also run ai-courses.ie, the same kind of directory for people in Ireland.

What is AI Course Atlas for?

It helps you find an AI course that fits, and see whether public funding can pay for it. AI courses for people in the UK are spread across the big AI companies, professional bodies, colleges, universities and public schemes that differ by nation. Prices come in different currencies, with and without VAT, and certificates mean different things.

AI Course Atlas puts those facts side by side: what each course costs, how long it takes, what you get at the end, and which scheme in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland can pay for it.

Is it independent?

Yes. AI Course Atlas is independent, and every fact is checked at the source: each one is read from the provider's or scheme's own page and dated, and every course is listed and ordered by the same published rules. There are no paid listings, affiliate links or sponsored content. How we check sets out the whole process.
